1. Introduction

Amorum (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the amorumiq.com website and platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms, please do not access the platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when creating an account or using the platform:

• Account information — name, email address, and password
• Vendor profile details — business name, category, location, pricing, and portfolio images
• Couple profile details — partner names, wedding date, guest count, venue, and budget range
• Contact information provided by vendors — when a vendor records an existing client relationship, they may provide the couple’s email address(es). We store these to send an invitation and, if the couple signs up, to connect them with that vendor
• Quote and invoice data — line items, pricing, notes, and PDF documents
• Messages — communications sent between vendors and couples through the platform
• Payment information — processed securely through Stripe; we do not store card numbers
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns to improve the service

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To facilitate quote delivery between vendors and couples
• To send a one-time invitation email on behalf of a vendor with whom you have an existing business relationship, so you can manage your wedding planning together
• To process vendor subscription payments through Stripe
• To send transactional emails (quote notifications, account updates, payment receipts)
• To improve and personalize the platform experience
• To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• To enforce our Terms of Service and protect against misuse

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Between vendors and couples — only the information necessary to facilitate quotes and communication
• Service providers — Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Render (hosting), Supabase (database), Cloudflare (bot protection), Meta (advertising measurement), and Google (Gmail and Calendar API access, for vendors who choose to connect their Google account) process data on our behalf
• Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or legal process
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

4.1 Google User Data

For wedding vendors who choose to connect their Google account, Amorum iQ requests limited access to certain Google services to power specific features:

• Gmail (send only) — lets a vendor send an email to a couple from their own connected Gmail address when they click Send inside Amorum iQ. We do not read, access, or store the vendor’s email inbox. We log only delivery metadata for each message sent this way — the recipient address, subject line, Google’s message/thread identifiers, and the date sent — so the vendor can see a record of what was sent. We never store the body or content of any email sent through this feature.
• Google Calendar (event management) — when a couple books, reschedules, or cancels a consultation with a vendor through Amorum iQ, we create, update, or delete the corresponding event on that vendor’s connected Google Calendar, including adding the couple as an attendee and generating a Google Meet video link. We store the calendar event ID and video link on our own booking record so we can keep that event in sync; we do not store the contents of any other events on the vendor’s calendar.
• Google Calendar (free/busy, read-only) — we read a vendor’s existing calendar availability to determine which times are already booked, so that couples are not shown consultation times that conflict with a vendor’s existing schedule. This availability data is used only to compute open booking slots at the time of the request and is not stored in our database.
• Google account email address — used to identify which Google account a vendor has connected, to display that connection to the vendor in their account settings, and as the sender address on emails sent via the Gmail feature above.

A vendor may disconnect their Google account at any time from their account settings, which revokes Amorum iQ’s access to their Gmail and Calendar data going forward.

Amorum iQ’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes, we do not sell Google user data, and we do not allow humans to read Google user data except as necessary for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or with the affected user’s explicit consent for a specific, user-facing feature described above.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Quote data is retained for the duration of your account plus 12 months after deletion to support dispute resolution. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us or using the account settings page.

7. Cookies, Local Storage & Analytics

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We also use browser local storage for non-sensitive UI preferences such as theme settings, checklist progress, and dismissed notification states. This data stays in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.

With your permission, we also use non-essential analytics and advertising technologies: PostHog (product analytics, to understand how the platform is used) and the Meta Pixel (to measure and optimize the performance of our advertising and to reach potential users on Meta platforms). These are off by defaultand load only after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can decline, or change or withdraw your choice at any time, using the “Cookie Preferences & Do Not Sell/Share” link in the footer. We also honor your browser’s Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out.

Do Not Sell or Share (California & other U.S. states).We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of the Meta Pixel for advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar state laws. You may opt out of this at any time using the “Cookie Preferences & Do Not Sell/Share” link in the footer or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser. Declining non-essential cookies stops the Meta Pixel and this sharing.

7.1 Anonymized Market Data

We may collect and analyze anonymized, aggregated data from quotes, budgets, and planning activity to develop market insights and pricing benchmarks that improve the platform for all users. This data is stripped of all personally identifiable information and cannot be traced back to any individual user, couple, or vendor. We do not share identifiable pricing data from individual quotes with any third party.

7.2 Artificial Intelligence

Amorum iQ’s features are powered by conventional software — for example, rule-based reminders and nudges (such as an expiring-quote alert) and aggregated, de-identified analytics. We do not use your personal information to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, and we do not sell or share your personal information with AI companies for that purpose. If we introduce AI-powered features in the future, we will update this policy to explain what they do and what data they use, and — where a feature has you interact directly with AI — we will tell you so.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access and receive a copy of your personal data
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

If your email address was provided by a vendor and you do not have an Amorum account, you can still ask us to remove your information at any time by emailing hello@amorumiq.com — no account required. Where applicable, we process vendor-provided couple contact data on the basis of legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) to facilitate an existing relationship between couples and their wedding vendors, and you may object to this processing at any time.

9. Children's Privacy

Amorum is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
